Ski Nordic – Cross Country Skiing and Biathlon

Weight and dry training as well as roller ski and training on snow take place inhouse or the immediate vicinity of the school. The demanding cross country ski track, named after former student and Olympic champion Dario Cologna, passes right by the school. The flatter but significantly longer tracks begin in Scuol and lead all the way to the Switzerland’s border town Martina.

Various glacier skiing resorts including Stelvio, Schnalstal, Pitztal and Kaunertal can be reached in a 1 to 2.5 hour drive and represent perfect training options during springtime and autumn.

Biathletes can shoot on two targets while on the Dario Cologna track during winter season. During summer, they have the possibility to rifle shoot at four tracks at the nearby hamlet Sclamischot.

Inhouse facilities include a gymnasium featuring trampolin and airtrack, ergo meter, weight and gymnastics room, therapy room, two tennis courts, football field, 100 m sprint track, skateboard mini ramp, slackline as well as countless bike and hiking trails at the school’s doorstep.

Training schedule Ski Nordic

The training schedule is individually prepared and developed according to the needs of each student, and includes the possibility to train in smaller or larger groups. On schooldays, training unities take place on a daily basis and are coordinated with the classroom schedule. During holidays, the athletic department may organise and lead training camps upon request and need.
