On Friday 19 June, we had the pleasure of celebrating our school-leavers. Over the past few years, they have spent countless hours studying, listening, working and developing their skills. We are incredibly proud of them and offer our warmest congratulations on passing their exams!
The highest distinction was shared by M. Conrad and M. Portmann, who both graduated with an outstanding final grade of 5.714. Their results reflect not only academic excellence but also dedication, perseverance, and a strong commitment to learning throughout their school journey.
The graduation ceremony was honoured by the presence of Jon Domenic Parolini, Member of the Graubünden Cantonal Government, who addressed the graduates with an inspiring message about the future. Reflecting on a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, he highlighted the qualities that remain uniquely human and deeply important: respect, ambition, empathy, and the ability to listen.
His words resonate strongly with our educational philosophy. At a time when information and answers are more accessible than ever, education is about much more than knowledge alone. It is about encouraging young people to ask meaningful questions, think critically, embrace complexity, and engage thoughtfully with the world around them.
As musician Frank Zappa famously said: “A mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work if it isn’t open.”
We warmly congratulate all graduates on this important milestone and wish them every success, fulfilment, and curiosity as they embark on the next chapter of their journeys.
