Meet the coaches

Odd Kare Sivertsen

Head of Cross-Country

“We don’t just take the top talents – we grow them. It’s about planting the seed early and creating an environment where motivation and teamwork drive success.”

Laura Caduff

Head of Biathlon

Born in the Black Forest, Katja Maike Braun studied German and Geography at the University of Tübingen. After working at two grammar schools in Tübingen, she spent ten years at Firstwald Gymnasium in Mössingen, where she got her first taste of a boarding school atmosphere.

Marco Tumler

Head of Alpine Ski

“I always want to know how my athletes are doing – tired, stressed, or under pressure. We keep school and training in balance, because pushing hard on both sides doesn’t lead to progress. That’s how you build strong athletes and capable students.”

Philip Kontriner

Head of Freestyle Snowboard

“The earlier you start, the bigger the advantage. We keep training personal, fun, and honest – because if you love what you do, you’ll push yourself to improve.”

Support Association

Ski Sports Support Association “Regiun Parc Naziunal” – promoting winter sports in the region

The Ski Sports Support Association RPN is committed to supporting young regional athletes and enables access to the HIF Sports Academy. Athletes whose parents reside in the Münstertal, Lower Engadine, and Samnaun regions receive financial support from the association in the disciplines of Nordic skiing, Alpine skiing, snowboard freestyle, and ice hockey.

The aim is to offer local athletes a professional training environment and facilitate access to competitions. Thanks to the support of the association, several athletes from our region have reached the world elite. For example our Olympia medal winners Nevin Galmarini (Ardez/Umblanas), Sandro Viletta (La Punt/SC Samnaun) and Dario Cologna (Val Müstair/SC Val Müstair).
