Ignite Switzerland
Ignite Switzerland is an immersive learning experience for the curious, passionate, and brave! HIF is proud to be home to Ignite Switzerland, a unique educational opportunity exclusively available to Year 9 students of Dulwich College International schools worldwide.
Ignite Switzerland offers students an exciting and diverse curriculum of indoor and outdoor learning opportunities, all taking place in HIF’s breathtaking Alpine surroundings. Through the new challenges they encounter, they will discover their best selves. They will lead their own exploration into learning, finding new ways to reflect on their world and themselves in an awe-inspiring natural environment.
The programme aims to foster self-confidence, independence, and resilience in all participants over the course of 12 weeks (1 term). Ignite participants leave Switzerland with the skills and motivation to make a difference in their world.

Alongside a core academic programme studied five days a week, students can choose from different study electives. All students take part in outdoor learning and seasonal sports as well as adventure training, excursions and creative and wellbeing activities.
As a parent, I would not hesitate to recommend the Ignite programme. Giving our kids the opportunity to build resilience, learn that they can do hard things, clean up after themselves, be responsible for themselves, be more organised and accountable, all within such a safe, controlled, nurturing environment, is a truly unique opportunity for this age group. And all of this personal growth comes in addition to the phenomenal outdoor programme.
