Our choice of academic pathways empowers students to forge their own futures.
Whether opting for the bilingual German/English Swiss Matura or the HIF International Advanced Diploma that combines A-levels with additional Worldwise Future skills and outdoor learning, our approach allows each student to achieve their potential.
Bilingual Swiss Matura
Years 8-13 | Ages 12-18
Approved by the federal and cantonal authorities for unrestricted right to study at Swiss universities.
International Advanced Diploma
Years 8-13 | Ages 12-18
A core of academic A-Level qualification recognised by all leading universities worldwide, combined with experiential learning for real world skills.

Worldwise Future Skills
We have established relationships and partnerships with world-renowned institutions such as CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research), the Villars Institute, the World Economic Forum and the United Nations to design learning opportunities for our diploma students to prepare them to succeed in a rapidly changing future. They will also have the opportunity to prepare a dedicated skills wallet to enhance their portfolio to support their university applications.

Helping students cultivate their own voice and choice in the way they learn, and enabling them to become mature learners who can take ownership of their learning, is a big part of life. This is what the school understands as ‘Student Agency’, critical for academic success, university life and beyond.
The school provides a safe, secure and stimulating environment and believes wholeheartedly in educating the whole child, with students gaining knowledge and an understanding of the world by questioning, actively solving problems and working collaboratively together. Awareness of the natural world and its resources is important as children learn to live their lives honestly with a spirit of respect for themselves and others.
Sports on campus
Sport is at the heart of campus life at HIF, with an unrivalled range of disciplines to choose from.
In winter, the campus offers direct access to the alpine ski resort of Scuol Motta Naluns (2,146 metres elevation), featuring thrilling descents, as well as a dynamic cross-country ski trail that begins right next to the school. In summer, the surrounding mountains transform into a playground for climbing, mountain biking, and trail running.
